March 2017 Meeting

‘Lifeline Service’
VNC Lifeline Services

Tuesday 21st March 2017

Thank you to Angela Jones, Business Development Manager from VNC Lifeline Services for coming along to tell us about their wonderful service.

VNC Lifeline is an award-winning telecare services provider. Our personal alarm is an emergency button worn on a user’s neck/wrist, which allows them to press for help in an emergency, 24hrs a day (e.g. a fall at home).

Products start from just £2.99 a week.  Take a look at their website for further information.

We also welcomed Nottingham University second year Animal Scientist Student, Hayley Smith.  Hayley, who is from Rainhill and a former Tower College student, approached Rainhill WI for assistance with her fundraising for an expedition to the Pongo Game Reserve in South Africa in June working with the Black Rhino’s project. We raffled a star hamper to raise funds towards Hayley’s trip.  Angela also made a donation to Hayley’s cause – Thank you again Angela!

Good Luck Hayley, we look forward to your post return visit early next year to tell us all about it.

Hayley with President, Edna.
