2022/23
Our programme now runs from April to March. We have a varied programme from speakers to interactive evenings. All visitors are welcome. We moved venues this year and now meet at the Rainhill Ex-Services Club.
25th April 2022 – ‘My Career’ – Eileen Harvey, Funeral Celebrant
Eileen Harvey is a funeral celebrant (and also our President, Edna’s daughter-in-law). Eileen took us on the journey of her varied career from seamstress in a clothes factory, her career in the Royal Navy and her current role as a Funeral Celebrant.
Born in the North East, Eileen joined the WRNS (Women’s Royal Naval Service) in 1989 as a Writer and progressed to the Naval Police service to the highest rank of ‘Master at Arms’.
Eileen’s last role in the WRNS was with the Family Breavement Council which sparked her interest to become a Funeral Celebrant. Upon leaving the WRNS in 2017 Eileen worked as a Funeral Home Administrator with Co-Op Funeral Care, whilst in this job she passed her exams to become a qualified Funeral Celebrant and now runs her own business in her home town of Alton, Hampshire. If you live in Hampshire please visit Eileen’s website: https://www.eharveyfuneralcelebrant.com/
Thank you Eileen for a fascinating and interesting presentation.
